The first hybrid ALL-NIGHT GONG PUJA: Participatory ceremony in the Magic Space Hilltop Yurt

A beautiful dream-like ceremonial 'soundbath' dedicated to Universal Peace, with the gong played continuously from dusk until dawn, in the magical Hilltop Yurt, Saturday 3rd - Sunday 4th September 2022. Inspired by my recent Gong Master Training at Hawkwood, Stroud, and the all-night puja held as part of our immersive 10-day residential workshops, with over 60 people, 5+ world-gong master teachers, 12 huge gongs played throughout the night by teams of 4 players at a time, in 30-minute waves.

Here at the Magic Space, we readied the space and ourselves with a gong-playing workshop, puja preparations and fortifying dinner. Then the magic ceremonial playing began.... with a hybrid ceremony and staring sounds, broadcast on zoom to dear friend and artist Ines Amado, joining us live in Lisboa, Portugal.

Waves of sound continued with constant playing throughout the night, with the awesome OT frog-faerie, playing her first ever puja, and shared rounds of playing lasting upto 2 hours each - epic wonderful and extremely magical!

The morning deep silent rest, filled with birdsong, brought a refreshing sleep, and then a fabulous puja breakfast in the sunshine on the hilltop - who could ask for more!!! We felt very blessed to be alive. OT wondered if we'd really played, or had it all been a wonderful dream...... both and!
